MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION SCOPE OF WORK

This mission critical construction project included a new 5-story expansion on top of an existing outpatient surgery suite facility. The expansion included a new cardiology center, a critical care unit, a mechanical equipment floor and two floors of future build out. In addition, medical gasses, hepa filtered air, and isolation room exhaust systems were installed in the patient rooms, cath labs, EP labs, pulmonary bronch labs, EKG and ECHO work rooms.

Lutheran Medical Center is owned and managed by Exempla Healthcare. Exempla Healthcare is a not-for-profit community-based organization sponsored by the LMC Community Foundation and the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Health System.

MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION OBJECTIVE

To accommodate the high volume of medical needs, Exempla Healthcare wanted to expand the "Heart Center" and radiation oncology capabilities with construction of a new 5-story expansion.

MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION SOLUTIONS

Trautman & Shreve's mechanical construction services efforts were completed without disturbing the operation of the existing surgery suites. This mission critical construction project was accomplished through effective scheduling coordination with the owner and construction engineering team.
