MECHANICAL SERVICES SCOPE OF WORK

Built as an alternative educational institution within the Aurora, Colorado public school district, this 42,000 square-foot building is a multi-use education facility. It features nursery facilities, media
centers, as well as art, science, and technology classrooms.

The commercial HVAC system includes five semi-custom rooftop air handling units served by a central chiller and boiler system. Building air distribution is a VAV system with hot water reheat loop throughout the individual zones. The plumbing system includes typical restroom and kitchen areas along with specialty piping and fixtures for the science, art, and nursery areas.

EDUCATION FACILITY BACKGROUND

The Aurora Education Foundation is a private nonprofit organization founded and operated to support public education in Aurora, Colorado. The Foundation supports Aurora Public Schools (APS) and its preparation of each student with the skills necessary to achieve his or her own highest level of academic achievement.

This alternative school was built to ensure that students are prepared with the skills and knowledge needed for the sales, service, high-tech, and manufacturing industries.
