HVAC & PLUMBING SYSTEMS SCOPE OF WORK
As mechanical construction project engineer, Trautman & Shreve began helping this client early by providing mechanical design/build review and constructability assessments of the plumbing system, as well as design reviews with value engineering recommendations for the commercial HVAC systems.
Plumbing Systems Design/Build & Installation
The company designed and installed a complete plumbing package, including over 350 plumbing fixtures, as well as the sanitary and storm drainage systems, and waste and vent systems for more than 450 fixtures. The company also provided kitchen and cafeteria plumbing.
HVAC Systems Design/Build & Installation
On the HVAC side, the firm installed two 800-ton industrial chillers, two 500-horsepower boilers, 20 pumps, and over five miles of distribution piping for the facility, including eight penthouses.
CONVENTION FACILITY BACKGROUND
The Colorado Convention Center provides 792,000 square feet of event space that can be configured in diverse ways to accommodate groups from 35 to 10,000. The Center is known for its state-of-the-art technology infrastructure, providing planners, exhibitors and attendees with an efficient information flow, easy access to the worldwide web, simultaneous distance learning, virtual trade shows, and on-line product and service sales.
