HVAC SERVICES AND PLUMBING SCOPE OF WORK
Implementation of HVAC systems and plumbing systems for a 215,000 square-foot, three-story television facility with a 100,000 square-foot underground parking structure. The facility included a 12,000 square-foot sound studio and a 5,200 square-foot newsroom. To cool the facility, Trautman & Shreve installed two 240-ton air-cooled chillers and 14 air-handling units for a total of 240,000 CFM of air distribution.
To heat the facility, Trautman & Shreve installed two gas fired boilers where hot water was distributed to the air-handling units, fan coil units, VAV boxes and unit heaters. HVAC equipment was installed in pairs or with backup components to provide redundancy in the cooling systems. The plumbing systems included a subsurface drainage system and garage drainage system with 2 sand and oil interceptors. The lower level drainage system required storm and sanitary ejector pumps. Additionally, the plumbing systems included the following: men's and women's toilet rooms on each floor, private toilet rooms for all executive areas, break room areas and janitor areas. A complete roof drain and overflow drain system was also installed.
