MECHANICAL SERVICES PROJECT SCOPE OF WORK
This mechanical services project included demolition, installation and modification of various pieces of mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing equipment. First was the demolition of an existing chiller, three cooling towers, and two boilers. Installation of new chiller with flat plate heat exchanger, two steam boilers, three cooling towers, and compressed air systems (house and control air) came next. A water booster system, compressors, receivers, backflow preventors, and modified domestic water were added. Modifications were made to chilled water piping in all mechanical rooms. Similarly, work on the fourth floor included: removal of an existing air-handling unit. Demolition was required of the piping. Installation of a new Liebert unit with building control system, new steam and chilled water piping systems was also necessary.
BACKGROUND
AT&T roots stretch back to 1875, with founder Alexander Graham Bell's invention of the telephone. During the 19th century, AT&T became the parent company of the Bell System, the American telephone monopoly. Today, AT&T is rapidly evolving from a company that handles mostly long-distance voice calls to a company that provides data and voice communications over any distance through its two operating units, AT&T Business and AT&T Consumer.
